Internet is a worldwide connection of computers cooperating
with one another for the purpose of sharing same resources. The internet is a
worldwide system of computer networks where users can obtain information about
any subject or topic by connecting to the network . The internet was first known as APRANET and was started by U.S government in 1969.

Mail(e-mail): e-mail
is an exchange of messages between two computer
by telecommunication means.it happens to be one of the first services
that were used for communicating over the internet.

Search Engine: A search engine is a program that allow you
to search fro a particular set of words specifield you on the internet. A user
interface is provided where a user can enter the wotd or the pharase that is to
be sought for.Examples of search engines include: Google, Yahoo, MSN, Altavista.
You
can transfer files from one computer to the other using the internet. File
transfer means uploading a file to a server or donwloading a file froms erver.
This service uses File Transfer Protocol (FTP), which is an internet protocol
that helps to upload and download files. FTP is commonly used to download files
to personal computer from other servers on internet. Protocol is a set of rules
that govern the transfer of message from
one computer to another on a network. Uploading refers to the act of sending a
file from a personal computer to another computer on a network while
downloading refers to receiving a file from a computer on the network to a
personal computer.
